You haven’t heard that there are now 6 boroughs making up the greatest city in the world?  Well, maybe it isn’t official “by law” just yet, but J. Cravata is certainly making a name for itself as a hot property.  After all, Revolutionary bowties and neckties couldn’t come from just anywhere.  Each tie is designed in Queens and hand-made in Brooklyn before earning the J. Cravata label.

J. Cravata is the men’s fashion company started by Joshua M. Anderson.  Joshua’s passion for art began at a young age; he never sat still unless it was to draw or sketch, and that he could do for hours.  His love of fashion also began in childhood as Joshua insisted on dressing himself starting at the age of two.  He continued to explore and refine his passions while at the Fashion Institute of Technology and earned his degree in Menswear in 2005.  Since then, Joshua has freelanced for companies with diverse aesthetics including Sean John, Tommy Hilfiger, and Karl Lagerfeld.

These experiences were invaluable and helped Joshua realize that in order to truly share his vision with the world, he needed to create his own line of men’s fashions.  Joshua is based in New York City where edgy design and artistic influences from all corners of the globe come together to provide limitless inspiration.  J. Cravata is the result of these inspirations and Joshua’s persistent pursuit of his dream. As a New York City based brand, J. Cravata joins other New York City  labels like Bill Blass, Calvin Klein, and Ralph Lauren.

Joshua’s vision for J. Cravata is to bring contemporary influence to traditional fashion and provide modern, intelligent pieces that reflect the wearer’s individuality.  J.
